Hunter Douglas is adding new features to their Solera Soft Shade product line. In case you are not familiar with Solera Soft Shades, here is how Hunter Douglas describes them. “Solera shades combine a soft sculptured look with a unique cellular construction providing sophistication and a new aesthetic to the market.” I like to say that Solera shades look like a cross between honeycomb shades and roman shades. Solera combines the softness of a roman shade with the energy efficiency of a honeycomb shade.

Starting this spring, Solera shades are available as top-down/bottom-up. Top-down/bottom-up allows the shade to be opened from the top down and from the bottom up. This allows you to get the perfect combination of light and privacy. Like the standard Solera bottom up shades, top-down/bottom-up shades are available with UltraGlide (retractable cord), EasyRise (continuous cord loop), or the new PowerView (motorized remote control) operating systems.

New fabrics are also available this spring. The new fabrics are based on current market trends and current top selling colors. There are three new fabric styles and eighteen new colors. Fabrics include woven and non-woven options and are all available in light filtering or room darkening opacities.
